Great question! A lot of people don’t realize that when you book direct with a cruise line, hotel, or tour operator, there’s already a built-in cost for a travel advisor in the price you pay — even if you don’t use one. So essentially, you’re paying for the service whether you use it or not!

Do I really NEED travel insurance?

Technically, no one makes you buy it — but it’s something we strongly encourage for almost every trip. Think of it like packing an umbrella: you hope you won’t need it, but if the skies open up, you’ll be glad it’s there.
Travel insurance is your safety net if the unexpected happens — whether that’s a family emergency right before you leave, a suitcase that never shows up, or a medical issue in a country where your health insurance doesn’t reach. It protects not only the money you’ve invested in your trip, but also your peace of mind.
Ask yourself: If I had to cancel tomorrow, could I easily walk away from the cost? If the answer is no, then insurance is more than a “nice-to-have” — it’s the smartest way to travel with confidence.
Even if you never use it, just knowing you’re covered helps you relax and focus on what matters: actually enjoying your vacation.
